The 13th EETN Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN 2024) will be held in Piraeus, Greece in September 11-13, 2024. SETN 2024 is organised by the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN) in collaboration with the University of Piraeus.
Background
Proposals for workshops that examine emerging, innovative, or otherwise provocative issues within the conference AI topics are encouraged. There is no restriction to particular topics of the conference. Novel and transdisciplinary topics with an emphasis on current challenges, theoretical advances, and innovative applications are of great interest.
Guidelines
Workshop proposals should include a 1–2-page summary of the topic and the names and affiliations of 3-4 chairs and of program committee members and making clear the primary contact person to whom correspondence should be directed. A mix of industry and academic panel members are recommended. In the summary, the organizers should present clearly:
- the motivation of the workshop and its relatedness to the topics of SETN 2024,
- the specific topics covered and possible application areas,
- the reviewing process, and the expected number of participants,
- a shortlist of indicative workshop Program Committee members,
- if the same workshop has been organized before in any SETN or related AI conferences, please explain why its continuation is needed,
- if any of the participants have confirmed their participation.
Proposers are encouraged to go beyond the usual list of presentations of accepted papers, for example by means of invited talks, panels, and demo sessions. Furthermore, providing ideas for post-publication of the workshop proceedings to journal special issues will make the workshop proposal more attractive since it will interest more participants. Proposing a workshop for inclusion in the SETN 2024 program necessitates the organizers’ careful consideration of at least 4-5 distinct works for presentation. Additionally, at least one of the authors of each of the workshop papers must complete full conference registration and deliver a presentation during the workshop. Furthermore, either a member of the organizing committee or a specially invited keynote speaker will receive a complimentary conference registration.
