The 13th EETN Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN 2024) will be held in Piraeus, Greece in September 11-13, 2024. SETN 2024 is organised by the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN) in collaboration with the University of Piraeus.

Background

The SETN 2024 technical program will highlight a series of Special Sessions to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest to topics of SETN community.

Guidelines

Prospective organizers of Special Sessions are encouraged to submit their proposals, which should include at least the following information:

  1. Title of the proposed Special Session
  2. Motivation, indicating the novelty of the topic and any possible interdisciplinary flavour
  3. Short biography of the organizers
  4. List of at least four (4) tentative contributed papers (including titles, authors, contact information of the corresponding author, and a short abstract), or list of at least (10) tentative authors who will be willing to contribute papers.

Upon acceptance of the special session proposal, the contributed papers will be submitted in the same format as regular papers in a special designated track in easychair. Organizers should not contribute more than one paper.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic and on the qualifications of the organizers and of the authors of the contributed papers as well.
The papers in each accepted SETN 2024 Special Session will undergo a review process, similar to other regular SETN 2024 papers. In case a paper in a Special Session does not meet the expected quality, it will be rejected and an effort will be made to draw papers from the regular submission process to fill in the gap. If too many papers for a given Special Session are not accepted in the review process and we are unable to find suitable substitutes from the regular review pool, the Special Session may be cancelled. In such a case, the accepted papers from a cancelled Special Session will be placed into the regular workshop program.
Suggesting a special session to be part of SETN 2024 program means that organizers have to consider at least 4-5 papers to be presented in the session. At least one of the special session paper authors is required to fully register for the conference and present the paper in the special session.
Special Session Proposals should be sent in PDF format to the Special Session Chairs at the following e-mail addresses: telelis@unipi.gr and mhalk@unipi.gr

Any other inquiries related to the special sessions may be sent to the same e-mail address.
